This Privacy Policy explains how Advervia Advertising Agency ("Advervia," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use Sukii Community ("Sukii"). We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its rules.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to everyone who interacts with Sukii — sellers who register under Sukii Libre or Sukii Tampok, and buyers or visitors who browse listings, chat with a seller, or place an order.
2. Information we collect
- Identity & contact — your full name, email address, and mobile number.
- Business information (Sellers) — registered business name, address, business contacts, Messenger/Facebook links, category, and business description.
- Verification documents (Sellers) — a photo of a government-issued ID and your DTI registration, used to verify your business.
- Listing content — product/service details, photos, and pricing you submit.
- Order & payment records — order history, amounts, tier, USID, and payment status. We do not collect or store your card or e-wallet credentials — those are handled directly by our payment processor, PayMongo.
- Chat messages — messages you send between buyer and seller, stored in our chat system (Firebase Firestore) separately from your account records.
- Technical & usage data — basic information such as device/browser type and pages viewed.
3. How we collect it
We collect information directly from you when you fill in our forms, upload documents, chat with another user, or place or fulfil an order; and automatically through standard web technologies when you use the site.
4. Why we use it & our legal basis
- To provide the service (create your account, verify a Seller's business, publish listings, process Orders and payouts) — based on our contract with you.
- To publish a Seller's listing publicly so buyers can find and buy from them — based on consent given at registration.
- To process payment for an Order via PayMongo and to remit a Seller's proceeds — contract and legal obligation.
- To enable in-platform chat and notifications — based on your consent (buyer push notifications are opt-in; see Section 7 of our Terms).
- To communicate with you (your USID, order confirmations, support, and important notices) — contract and legitimate interest.
- To comply with the law (records, tax, lawful requests) — legal obligation.
5. Your public listing (Sellers)
By registering as a Seller, you understand that your listing information (business name, category, product details/photos, pricing) is made public so buyers can find and buy from you. Your Messenger link and phone number are shown to buyers only if you turn on that visibility toggle in your Seller Portal — both are off by default.
6. When we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed:
- PayMongo — to process Order and Sukii Tampok subscription payments securely.
- Google Workspace — Google Drive and Google Sheets store forms, documents, listings, and order records.
- Firebase (Google) — stores and delivers in-platform chat messages and push notifications.
- Meta / Facebook — for the official Sukii Community page and any Messenger link you choose to show.
- Service providers who help us operate (e.g. email delivery), under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal & safety — where required by law, regulation, or to protect rights and safety.
7. Cookies & analytics
Sukii and its hosting tools may use cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the site works.
8. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed afterward to meet legal, tax, accounting, and legitimate business requirements. When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
9. Security
We apply reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect your data, including access controls and reputable hosting (Google Workspace, Firebase) and payment (PayMongo) providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to address any incident responsibly.
10. Where your data is processed
Some providers we use (such as Google, Firebase, and PayMongo) may process and store data on servers outside the Philippines. Where this happens, we rely on providers that offer appropriate protection consistent with the Data Privacy Act.
11. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed, to access your data, to correct inaccuracies, to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing, to request erasure or blocking in proper cases, to data portability, and to damages for violations. To exercise any right, contact our DPO at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) at privacy.gov.ph.
12. Children
Sukii is intended for individuals aged 18 and above and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
13. Third-party links
Our pages may link to seller Messenger/Facebook pages or other sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version; material changes will be posted here.
